Team development not only boosts morale and improves working relationships, it also helps teams to identify and address other underlying issues that may be obstacles to its success -- for example, lack of an effective team vision and strategy, unclear goals, role confusion, misaligned structure, unresolved conflict, and other issues related to team dynamics and leadership.
High-performing teams need to be aligned, with a clear and compelling vision, a smart and flexible strategy, focused goals, roles with accountability, an effective organizational structure, a motivating reward system, a productive resolution of conflict, healthy group dynamics, and excellent leadership. Ginger Lapid-Bogda works collaboratively with team leaders and teams to identify strengths, clarify issues that need attention, and to facilitate the resolution of obstacles to high team performance.
Dr. Lapid-Bogda uses the following team development process:
- Set objectives with team leader
- Conduct team assessment
- Review themes from assessment with leader
- Facilitate team-development session(s)
- Hold follow-up session(s) with team leader and/or team
